if all women voted
for love and humanity
can we bare a world
full of freedom, equity,
peace, dignity, justice,
universal standards —
truthful answers?

if all women voted
for love and humanity
what would Gaia be like?

we just might have
a chance to unite,
to rise, to climb,
survive climate change,
tackle the strange things
happening across the world,
in classrooms, in schools,
in jails, prison cells, on the
stock market, on college
campuses.

if all women voted
for love and humanity
imagine communities
being transformed not
born of pain, poverty, over-
consumption of property,
drugs, young deaths, the
quest of ownership,
selfishness, the grip
of harsh survival.

if all women voted
for love and humanity
to make decisions
for their own bodies
we’d be better off,
freedom would not come
at such a cost, man would
not be boss, our hearts
would be more soft,
liberties in the republic
would be at less of a loss.

if women voted
for love and humanity
our children would not
be studying for the score,
would not be in pain anymore,
we’d be showing them doors
to destinies lacking scrutiny,
inhumanity, gun violence,
they’d be living in vibrance.

if women voted
for love and humanity
bullies and dictators
would not win, we’d
not be considering
when will all of the
drama, wars, mess,
stress, come to an end.

if only women voted
for love and humanity

love and understanding
love and liberation
love and education
love and peace
love and justice
love and equity
love and togetherness
love and righteousness

Because love, because
living in a world where
humanity is loving, is
a gift.
